I've been on pins and needles all week checking Rumor Queen just about every couple of hours. I know, but I just can't help it!
I've updated our phone info on file at our agency so they can get a hold of us and I've printed out Stephe's infamous call sheet (you can find this on her sidebar). I also have the camera battery all charged up and ready to go!
I need to contact our agency again and find out what the best day is for us to both take off work. We both want to see Lauren's photo together at the same time. If we have a head's up on the call and they e-mail a photo when they call, we would like to be home on that day. If they just call out of the blue, then we want to be home the next day for the Fed-Ex package. I need to see if they can tell me how it usually plays out. I know this is a silly thing to worry about, but after waiting so long and anticipating the moment we see our daughter I want it to be as perfect as it can be. For you BTDT's, how did it all play out for you? I would love to hear about it.

I can not wait..
I am sooo happy for you...
I can't wait to see her pretty little face..
I don't blame you on both being home..
I will want that too.
Hugs..
Totally not silly, I will be worrying about the same things when our turn comes.
You are so prepared. I'm embarrassed to say that I was caught out and about - with a dead battery in my cell phone. Our SW finally got through to the husband. He was talking to her on his cell phone, in our driveway, when I finally pulled up. I am an idiot.
Who can blame you? I'd be doing the same thing in your situation.
Our moment came out of the blue. I was at work when the call came to my office. There was no Kodak moment. It caught us all by surprise. I didn't want to wait for FedEx, so I raced to the agency to pick up the package myself and brought it home to share. It was one of many surreal moments.
Can't wait to read about yours!
Isn't it funny! After waiting so long, suddenly we know nothing?!!! I've been feeling the same way! Although - you KNOW you will be seeing Lauren... we're still HOPING!
:) Next week. Can you believe it?!
We had a head's up (from Rumor Queen I think) that referrals had been mailed. We then started tracking that DHL package so we knew what day it would most likely land at our agency. My husband works nights and is home during the day and I **cough cough** wasn't feeling well and was home on a sick day. :)
Lots to do! I hope it comes soon.
Not silly at all! You will be glad you were prepared when you are one day looking back at the video tape! I'm so excited for you!!

How is it we wait so long and at the end of it all we are all so unprepared! It truely is going to be one incredible day and I cant wait to see that sweet little face when you get the call. We are also using AHH but with a 3/29/06 date I still have a long wait. I am excited to see how they do things! Congrats!
Hi Donna,
We also used AHH and received a phone call (no warning) from our advocate the day referrals were sent to them. Shortly after that we received an email with pictures. Since we're local, we picked up the package that same day (well, truth be told, that same hour! haha). Can't wait to hear your good news!

I am so excited for you Donna!!
I'm just checking in to see what's happening!
Don't you dare think it is a silly thing to worry about! I don't know how you are even able to function at this point!
I can't wait to see little miss Lauren! I can't wait to hear all about the call! Hang in there. Looks like you have a long few days ahead of you!

Donna,
I used the same agency as you and the first time our call was out of the blue and most of our DTC group had already gotten their referrals. My dh and I drove to the agency as we are in the same state and saw the pictures together. The second time AHH was the first to call (yay!) but someone in our DTC group had said their agency said referrals were on the way and when they should be their for their agency -- this was just a little before RQ. I drove to the agency and our dd got to show her daddy her sister when he got home frome work.
Can't wait to see your baby!

We were caught off guard...no Kodak moment for us...and hubby broke down crying.....I was screaming in the phone...I feel sorry for the poor lady on the other end of the phone now.......it was wierd how it worked out that both of us happened to be home, since that never happens, so I guess it was meant to be, and also it was at the very, very, end of the day and we figured the agency wasn't going to call that day........wierd!
We knew when our referral was coming because all of the packages came in on a Friday and we knew our agency wouldn't call us until everything had been translated, which meant Monday. So Rod took Monday off work and we waited and waited by the phone. I still remember popping Immodium that day. ;-) We videotaped the call (with us sitting over the speakerphone), by the way. I thought it was silly at the time but now I am SO GLAD to have that tape. We didn't remember a thing after she said the word "twins."
I'm so excited and happy for you. If you want to see my BTDT moment, check out June 2007 on my blog. I was a complete basket case! :o)
*shakes with excitement*
We didn't get a call, we got an e-mail from our agency stating that the package was shipped and gave us a tracking number. I sat all day refreshing it to find out where our package was. My husband works second shift so he sat at home waiting and I was at work constantly clicking on the refresh button. I new at 11:11 it hit home. My husband drove the package to work and we opened it together. I was lost the entire day. I can never forgot the day because it was my mother's birthday.
Hopefully you don't have to wait too much longer.
Susan
I have been following your blog for quite a while and am so excited for you. It will be so wonderful to finally get your sweet little girl. You are such a great couple. You sure do deserve the very best.
I am a bio mom of 5 and adoptive mom of 3. It is awesome and fun.
I can't wait to see Lauren's picture either.
Good Luck!
Natalie
Our agency told us on a Sunday that we would most likely get our call the following day, Monday... at anytime. Our agency did not e-mail pictures, so the pictures show up with the Fed Ex man LATE in the afternoon on Tuesday.
We received our girls' information via conference call when we were both at work on Monday. As it turned out, we were the agency's first call of the morning at 9:00 am. After "the call" we were both on the phone making calls to our families for the next hour or more. When I finally emerged from my office, my co-workers were dying to know all the details... Ha! They were shocked and I still was too. I left work early on Monday and took Tuesday off too. It was a very exciting time! :-)
