Make the switch...

I guess the switch over to the new version of Blogger is inevitable, but I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has already made the switch. Did the conversion go smoothly? Did you have any problems with your template formatting? Are the new features worth making the switch now?

I switched one of my now-dormant blogs today and only difference I noticed so far is larger font, making entries longer and appearing thinner in width. I, too, would like to hear how it went for others.

I'm TOO SCARED!!!! Good luck and let us know how it went.

Do we have to switch eventually?

I haven't switched yet and am holding out for a while. There was a similar question posed on my friend's blog last week and I'm holding out for a while. Some like it but more seem to have troubles.

Also, my resident computer expert is sticking with the old so that's helping with my decision too.

I will have an opportunity to use it in the near future though as I'm helping a friend with her blog while she's in China. She's going to email me pics and updates and I'll update her blog from this side of the pond. :o) She uses the new version so I'll see what I think.

Until then, sticking it out with the old version until more of the kinks are worked out.

I switched awhile ago while it was in Beta..and it was actually not much of a problem. The biggest problem I've had is switching from formatting the old way (html?!) to the new "easier" way of new blogger. I know a lot of folks have had trouble, but I didn't experience anything. Hope that helps!

I switched some time ago and the only problem I had was leaving comments on some peoples blogs. That seems to be getting better though.

I like the new blogger because it loads up your new posts and pictures in a flash compared to the old one. (perhaps because not so many people are on the newer version yet) Who knows.

I've designed some blogs using the new version and I'm not in love. Maybe because I'm just not used to it yet. I'm sticking to the old one until I'm forced to change, I think...

I made thw switch and it works fine so far. The template is new but you have the option of formatting in the old blogger template format which is good because I can't figure out the "widget" thingee on the new template!
Logging in for commenting is wierd but I have found out if you log in first it isnt a problem. good luck!

It was easy and took a couple of minutes to do!

Absolutely make the switch - I did months ago and it is the only way I was able to customize my header. It is so much easier than hacking through HTML code! :) Good luck and let me know if I can help in any way.

I switched in the last month and I've had no problems at all. Good luck!

I made the switch and haven't had any problems. I haven't been brave enough to change my template to a new one because I like my orange flower headline and don't know how to get it on the new template. Other then that I like the new blogger.

Switching was no problem...but I do have occasional problems with leaving comments. Sometimes it can't decide if it wants my Blogger name or Google name. Whichever one I use, it wants the other one!

When I first switched it was a real pain, but now it's pretty good. It still can be a pain sometimes to leave comments. I don't really use the features, so.....

I ask...why is everyone leaving anonymous comments? A glitch?

Let me know what you do.

Keep smilin!

I wasn't to happy, to be honest, and that's why I switched my craft and book blog over the wordpress. Having said that, I just updated my forks & chopsticks blog (I've missed all of you guys)! Stop by if you have a chance.

I'm sticking with the old version until they force me to switch. I've heard too many complaints about the new one and since Blogger doesn't really offer support, well shoot why should I change something that isn't broken...

The only problem I have had is that my sitemeter didn't transfer over.
