Lazy morning...

Joe and I were having a lazy morning sitting around reading the paper this morning. Since the weather has been so gorgeous (high 70's), we had the door to the back yard opened so Addy and Lucy, our furbabies, could wander in and out. After a while I wondered what the "girls" were up to and headed out back to check it out.

As usual, Lucy was on the patio on geeko patrol, but I couldn't find Addy.

After a few minutes, I spotted Addy nestled in among our weed garden sitting in the shade. I should be ashamed to admit this, but our weeds are so high in this area I couldn't even see her. I thought it was so cute, I had to take a couple of shots.

By the way, some of you may remember that Addy is sick with cancer and was expected not to even make it to the end of last year. As you can see, she is a tuff old girl and is doing VERY well. Just wanted to give you all a little update on her.

I had no idea about Addy. I love old dogs! Especially tough old girls like Addy. Glad she's doing so well!

You have the cutest dogs, even at 5:30 in the morning (4:30, not so much ;) ). Addy continues to do so well because she's so well taken care of!

Oh, she's so cute! They both are. That's too bad about the cancer. We lost a Lab to it several years ago. It's good she's feeling alright. One of our doggies is going on twelve years old and thankfully still seems to be going strong. I worry with each passing year that something wil go wrong. They really are like our children, aren't they?

I just lost my sweet springer last november to cancer (6 weeks after diagnosis) so I understand what a miracle she is and I hope you have many many many more months together! She looks like she's an angel!
