Another month down...

and still counting!

Hopefully this month's referrals will be out soon and we can do our monthly guesstimate on when we'll get our first glimpse of Lauren. I find myself thinking more and more about what she will look like, how old she'll be and where she is.

As we get closer to referral, I feel like I'm riding a roller coaster...the same one we were on years ago when we were trying to get pregnant. I thought that ride was over when we decided to adopt, but I learned pretty quickly that we're right back on. As the months go by, it feels like the drops are steeper and the ride gets more out of control.

I do not think I have ever post before but I just wanted to say I hope there is a SPEED up for you and your referral.
We actually lived in Phoenix when we went through all the infertility treatments and that is where we lived when we adopted our oldest son from Korea:-)
I know you get tired of hearing the wait will all be worth it some day when you are holding her, but it is sooo true. You just want to HOLD HER NOW!!!
I love your blog...you will make a great mom!!!

Donna, you really are getting so-o-o-o close! I am very excited for you and can't wait to spend time with you and Lauren. It will be great to have an actual child that can model clothes while we're shopping! ;) Speaking of which... when and where is our next shopping adventure??? XOOXXO, Laura

Yup, Donna - I agree - months are STEEPER! Like we have our treadmills on a 10% incline!
I used to get soooo excited at the passing of every LID-versary, but now it is harder to have that much "glee" with the prospect of another 8 or more months ahead.

BUT WE ARE GETTING CLOSER :) :)

Another adoptive mom letting you know that the day will REALLY come! Hang in there! What an adorable page you have, too. Neat blog.

We're headed back for number two from China, and the wait is a lot easier the second time, knowing the reward that's coming. You're soon, I can feel it!
