Baby carrier has arrived...

Here we are already heading into mid-October and I'm SO hoping that referrals come out before the end of the month and that ours is in the batch! I'm getting so excited! We may only have a few short weeks left until we see our daughter. I keep asking myself if this is really happening after all this time...someone pinch me!

Last week we got our Baby Hawk baby carrier in the mail. We picked out a dark espresso brown for the trim with this fun fabric on the front. Joe is modeling it with our new baby, little Miss. Idaho. She's 10 lbs and tastes delicious with a little butter and sour cream...

Here's what the back looks like...

Joe says it's pretty comfortable for him and distributes the weight pretty evenly. I'm a bad judge of baby carriers because I have a bad back and have daily trouble with low back pain. I'm going to have to pump myself full of meds and suck it up on the China trip because I want to carry Lauren as much as she'll let me while in China.

***Attention Target Shoppers***

If you like ladybug things for the nursery, I just picked up this adorable changing pad cover today. It's very soft and oh so cute! It seems to be a brand made for Target since there is a whole line of items that match. It's called tiddliwinks and was $12.99.

Nice carrier. I wouldn't worry too much in China. Our hotel lent us strollers or you can rent one in a lot of areas. We bought one when we stayed at the White Swan. I think it was from Jennifers. I would highly recommend it. It was an umbrella stroller and only $20 American dollars. We used it all around town and in the airport while we waited. Three years later and the stroller is still in great condition. I hate to give it up.
Hopefully soon you will know who will be in that carrier.

Soon that carrier will have more in it than a sack of potatoes (just guessing). Love the carrier. I am so with you on the meds, I will need alot to get me through the trip but it will be worth it.

Great carrier. And super good idea to practice with some spuds in it! We had one, too, in China, and it was a lifesaver. So easy to tote them around, and they can snooze in it while out and about or on a tour. Plus, while strollers are easy to come by, esp. in Guangzhou- you really want to be carrying her- not pushing her. It is the best for bonding. And, so fashinoable, too!
Hopefully just a few short weeks until we see those pics. Keep nesting!

You're baby carrier looks cute!!! Will Joe be carrying her? I have a really bad back too but I will attempt to carry GG as much as possible. I got the Ultimate Baby Wrap and have only tried it out with Pirate's Monkey. Maybe I'll try to take a self portrait! I think I need to practice like Joe...with a sack of potatoes!!
Oh, does your wrap tie in the back AND the front???

I have one of these and I love it. Sophia is now 21.5 pounds and 31 inches long. She hated it while we were in China but now loves to be in it close to Mama. It is very comfortable to wear and very secure. You can tie it in the front or back and you can also use it as a front carrier or a back carrier. Very versatile

Great Baby Hawk! Joe's stylin getting ready for Lauren Elizabeth. Glad to hear it's comfortable. My cousin is purchasing one for me as a gift so I chose my colours a few weeks back.

I've heard that a 10lb. bag of potatoes can be a big help when getting ready to travel to meet your child. I plan on carrying one around the house once I receive Hannah's referral. Is that what you're doing or were the potatoes just to try out the carrier?

Ooooo...it won't be long now Donna!!! Yay!!

This is your time. I just can't believe it..and I am so happy to see a family I care for receive their referral.
God Bless you Lauren Elizabeth, wherever you are. Tonight I will say a prayer and ask God to send an angel to tell you that your Mother and Father are coming.

Hi! Just wanted to say that I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED my Baby Hawk carrier and even still use it now sometimes. I find it more comfortable on the front, my hubby liked it on his back. Just remember to pass the straps OVER her legs, not under or else it sags.
