I'm finally motivated...

to start back up on Weight Watchers before it's too late to loose some weight before the China trip. This has been in the back of my mind since we started the paperchase and if I don't get my butt in gear now, the next thing I know we'll be getting our referral and I wouldn't have lost a pound.

I've been struggling with my weight since as long as I can remember and have been on and off Weight Watchers over the years. I lost 40 pounds once and 50 pounds another time, but always gain it back slowly when I get tired of following the program and start slacking off. I've been on the program long enough to know how to eat right, but my main problem is overeating to relieve stress and for comfort and God knows between this seemingly never ending wait and my job, I certainly have my share of stress.

Well, it's time to tackle my weight problem head on and see if I can loose some weight before we travel...50 lbs is my goal. That's my short-term goal, since I would have more to loose after that. I figured if I track my progress here then maybe that would give me an added boost to stay on track. I'm going to join Weight Watchers on the web and use their on-line food journal and points calculator.

If there is anyone else out there who's had this on their minds and wants to join too, let me know...I would love to have a weight lose "buddy". Heck, maybe we can start a Yahoo group to support and cheer each other on!

Hey Donna, that's great! I am on the "weight-loss-wagon" too! So far I'm at 47 pounds...and counting! I have 18 more to lose (I think) and I would like to lose that by April. Still working on it, but it's coming off slow as a snail right now. I wish you all the best, girl! YOu can do it, you'll be a total hottie when you go to China!

I'm with you Donna. I plan to get back on the Biggest Loser Diet when we return from vacation next week. I'd love to join your group if you get one started. I also need to lose at least 50 pounds. It's just so doggone hard. I eat when I'm bored and/or stressed. I've got to lose some pounds though so I can start chasing around a toddler again.!

Yup - things have gotten out of control for me over the past 6 months or so. I need to dump about 25# now. I know the frustrations you talk about though. I lost over 90 pounds many years ago and until this more recent upswing have kept it off.

Here's hoping to both of us getting there soon! I keep thinking once my home is back in order and I can live in it without the fat-inducing steroids then all will improve. I hope I'm not deluding myself :0)

I recently joined WW on line. It hasn't gone to well so far, but I am going to keep trying. I was sick this week (a NASTY virus) and lost 10 pounds, so I am going to try to start eating healthy so I can keep that off and hopefully go from there. I'm all for a yahoo support group.

I joined WW two weeks three weeks ago. I haven't been very good, I'll admit.

I am with you! I would love to join you in losing before we go to China. I really don't want to be the last person climbing up the Great Wall!

Good luck, Donna. I need to get back to that, too. I'd participate in anything support-related that you put forth!

Donna, congratulations on your decision to live a healthier life! I too am working on developing better eating habits and making exercise a consistent part of my life. Let's do a girl's day and go for a hike and manicure. Pinnacle Peak is a beautiful hike, let me know if you're interested or have another idea. Go girl! :)

I'm there with you!! This adoption wait has packed on too much weight. Bad food, wine...not good. I have been getting back to excersizing (until I hurt my neck last week) but I will get back to it. I hate it...but I know I have to do it. Good luck!! You'll do it. Once you get to that "point" and we all know what and when it is...there will be nothing holding you back.

Can dog adopters join? ;).

I'm also on the wagon! I've lost 50 lbs so far and have maybe 20 more to go, give or take a few lbs. I'll know it when I get there.

WW worked for me for a while, but the biggest help has been exercise. Now I realize I'm the extreme (I train 6.5- 7.5 hours per week) but it definitely makes a difference and allows me to have special "cheating" dinners.

Good luck to you! I know you can do it!
