I know it's not practical...

but I just love this Rosanna tea set for Lauren. I saw it initially on my California trip in a cute little shop and I haven't stopped thinking about how adorable it would look on a little table in the nursery. The colors are so soft and pretty and I love how all the tea cups are a different shape with a different handle like an old fashioned mis-matched set.

So, for those of you with little ones at home, just how impractical is this tea set? Should I look for one that's plastic instead? OK, you can stop laughing at me now! ;)

That is sooooo cute! It may be a little impractical at first, but as she gets a little older I think she will be be able to play with it. I love it! I didn't get a chance to comment on your last post, but you have every right to feel down about the wait. It is so hard, especially for those that should have had their referrals by now, before everything slowed down so much. At least I kind of knew what we were getting into(Although nothing could have prepared me for three a three year wait.) Sorry you have been feeling down. And thank you for the kind words about out Tess. It gets easier as each day goes by.

ADORABLE. And yep, totally impractical, but totally something I wouldn't have been able to resist. You can use it in her room and put it where it's visible but out of reach. I have learned the hard way, when you love something that much that it nags at you, GET IT!!!! I'm glad you did. It will look great in Lauren's room.

My four year old has a glass tea set. Yes, she has broken a couple of cups, but they're supposed to be for PLAYING with. :-) Maybe it's not practical, but it sure is pretty!

It's adorable,

My daughter's first tea set was indeed plastic, but now that she's 3 and a half she has been using a glass one (not as gorgeous as yours)as long as you play with her and teach her to be gentle i see no problem with it....enjoy those tea parties...i know i do :)

We have special family dinner nights where we take out the good China plates, crystal glasses and linen tablecloth. All of these things we used to reserve for special guests. It may be totally impractical but its something special you and Lauren will share together. Get the plastic ones for her and her friends to play with!

Get a plastic one from when she is younger and this set for when she is older. It is BeAuTiFuL. (I wonder if either one of my BOYS would use it:)

Very impractical but really cute! Until you can use that one try this one: http://www.annastoydepot.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ATD&Product_Code=Tin_Set&Category_Code=Props

It's made of metal and it's very sturdy. I bought one for Annalisa. She and her friends have been playing with it for over a year now. It's very sturdy but cute.

Ciao!

Ooo, yes! What a pretty set! And YES! Totally impractical!!! Least a china set for my daughter was!!! Everything ended up broken, then I was worried she'd swallow the broken bits! We bought a cheap plastic set, which she never stopped playing with, went in the bath, pool, beach, sandpit! Lasted forever, didn't break. Maybe they make pretty plastic sets?
