More Disney stuff...

While Lauren was napping today, I put together some pages for her 1st year scrapbook (click to enlarge). I swear if Lauren didn't nap, I'd never get anything done!

For those of you who follow what goes on at Disneyland, you know that the Small World ride has been closed for renovations for quite some time. Now that it's re-opened there are some Disney purists who don't like the fact that Disney has incorporated characters into the attraction. For those of you interested in how they did it, I snapped some pics of the ones that I noticed...

I'm kind of torn on if I like them incorporated or not. Some of them blend into the attraction and fit in better than others. I do think that kids will like trying to pick out their favorite characters.

TIP: If you're heading to Disney soon with your little ones and it's their first time at the park, the shops have cute little "1st Visit" buttons they will give you.

Lauren ripped it off in two seconds, like her hair clips, but it makes a nice souvenir.

First of all, it would take me at least a FULL DAY to do even on scrapbook page manually, and even then it would look like .... well, bad.

Second of all, she is so blasted cute. I'll have to take a trip up soon to see her IRL.

I love you layouts!! I'm a semi-new user with Photoshop and I just love it. And you are right, naptime is the only time I get anything done...hmmm scrapbook or housecleaning??? ;)

It's been years since I've been to Disney but we went all the time growing up in Phoenix and I can tell you I would not like those characters in It's a Small World. I guess that makes me a Disney purist!

Lauren looks adorable!

Looks like you had a great time. She looks very happy in these pics.

What age is the right age for a first visit? We have a kid who is timid about riding solo. I know you can ride with them at Disney. Just thinking we may wait a year or two.

I have a funny "Its a small World Story" When David was in kindergarten we went to Disney World. It was my first time. I got the strangest feeling when we went on tht ride. I knew what was coming up and I had memories of being on it before, even though I had never been at Disney World. It wasn't until after that I saw a sign saying it was originally at !!
I had been to that fair when I was 5 yeRAS OLD. abyway, thats why the ride seemed so familiar to me. Talk about de ja vue!!!Lauren looks like she had a wonderful time!!!

Donna, It looks like you all had a wonderful time at Disney. Lauren is such a cutie. Emma got that same button when we went and the same Minnie Mouse. Gotta love Disney!
