Referrals are in...

Just got an e-mail from our agency saying that they received 10 referrals today for LID's between 7/14/05 and 7/22/05. All babies are from the Guangdong province, so an extra five days in China for all these families.

So the CCAA ONLY matched 9 days worth of LID's since last month. Ughhh!!! So families with a 7/23 LID are now firmly planted at a 14 month wait! Wow, to think that the wait was 6-8 months when we started all this last year!

I wish we knew the CCAA's grand plan for things. This waiting each month to see how many referrals crank out is for the birds!! I'm getting flashbacks of waiting each month to dip the stick for the pregnancy test....only this may be worse because it's so TOTALLY out of our control!

Sorry, I'm just suffering from post-referral depression (PRD). Kind of like PMS, only no meds will help! I'm pretty much 100% sure you all can relate. ;)

Yup, certainly can relate. It doesn't last long now because I still have hope for positive change but as the wait stretches on ????

I've been dealing with the wait pretty well and haven't felt this crappy about it since last winter. I'm sick of it. And frankly, I've moved past depressed and am now officially ticked off.

It does totally stink!!! Really why can't the CCAA do more??? I am getting bitter.... In protest, I will not eat Chinese food this weekend... Take that CCAA!!! NO CHINESE FOOD WILL PASS MY LIPS until MONDAY... it is the start of a whole new week!!!

If it's any comfort: we were told through our agency that this was a "surprise" stork landing and that it was only for those with a 7/20/05 LID. It was not indicated as "the" referral batch for the month, but rather as an "extra" surprise batch. They are still waiting for the regular batch at the end of Aug. beginning of Sept.

Well, just in case it makes you feel any better...

Big Hug!
