Today we went to the zoo with a couple we meet through the FCC when we first started the wait. They have a beautiful daughter named Lily who will be three years old this month. Lauren did very well with them even though this was her first time meeting them. I think Lily went a long way towards breaking the ice for her.
Here's some pics from the day (click to enlarge)...
And here's a little video...

It looks like Lauren had a blast at the zoo. I love your zoo scrapbook pages!
It is exciting to bring them out and show them the world, isn't it?

Smiles all around. Great pictures.
Donna and Joe, it is so great to see you doing well with Lauren. I had to chuckle to myself seeing all the clothes we saw hanging in the closet for so long. It is sooo nice to see lauren wearing them finally! Enjoy,
Shauna and MacLean xo
Awwww, look at that beautiful smile!!!
Looks like such a fun day. One of the things that I really look forward to is our first trip to the zoo with our baby. I hope that someday it actually happens.
She has got the MOST BEAUTIFUL smile. So worth the long wait!
Just beautiful! it makes my heart sing to see her with you and how she has adjusted.
You are doing such a great job keeping up with scrapbooking your pictures. Plus you've done such beautiful pages. You'll be really glad you did these in years to come.
You all look like you're having so much fun! How are you adjusting?
How happy Lauren must be. Two loving parents, a home, a dog (!) and the excitement of having the experience of exploring her new world.
And of course what lucky parents! I am so happy for you all. Such a win-win situation that makes me so very happy :)
Oh, how sweet! It's so awesome to see Lauren smiling and you three bonding as a family! I'm so happy for you!

Isn't it fun to show them off to the world!!! It looks like you had so much fun.
Love, Kristy
I'm so happy for you all!
The dream is real and isn't it just amazing now?!?
Hi Donna, Lauren looks like she is doing great!!! It is so fun to follow along on your blog. I am glad bed time is getting better. I too stay in Sierra's room until she is asleep. She goes to sleep pretty quick so its not too bad. I figure she needs to know I'm still there. Give Lauren a hug and say hi to Joe. Tell him I had David, my 2 older sons and my 2 nephews doing hacky sack in my KITCHEN the other night. Thought for sure they were going to break something!!!!Talk to you soon!
