I went into work yesterday morning for a meeting and found this sign on my office door. Theresa has been filling in for me and changing the number of days each morning. Ha! It's nice to be missed.
Here's Lauren's new ride...
After hunching over to push around that little stroller in China, this one is a dream and I love it. It's a Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe Stroller in French Roast. It's very smooth, turns on a dime, folds up very easily, and has a huge basket for bags.
Speaking of bags, I think I have a little shopper on my hands...
Oh, and by the way...I didn't realize that motherhood meant never going to the bathroom along again...
Now there's two in there with me!
For an update on our Little Miss, she seems to be adjusted to the time here now. She's been napping by 1pm each day for about 1.5 hours and we've had her to bed by 9:30pm for the past five or so days. We are hoping to creep her bed-time up slowly until she's to bed by about 8pm. We'll see how that goes.
She's been letting us put her in the crib while awake now, but we need to stay in the room until she is asleep. If one of us tries to leave, there is hell to pay! I think at this point, we're just so happy with her progress so far that this is fine with us for now.

yay for her getting on a pretty good schedule already. that is awesome!
we had to stay with Elizabeth until she fell asleep for quite some time too. more often than not, I'd end up falling asleep while waiting for HER to fall asleep. :)
Oh, and try having 2...I had to use the bathroom while holding one the other day!
Lauren is so cute and looks like she is a happy girl!

We have the same stroller, but in a different color. I love it. But at 4 1/2 now, she doesn't really need it. Darn.
Glad to hear Lauren is doing so well!
Love those bathroom pics! It's a rare day if I get to go by myself. It sounds like Lauren is adjusting well. I'm glad that bedtime is going good! She looks so cute with her shopping bags!

She looks so happy. What a beautiful little girl!
It's great to see her looking so happy!
Yep, you can kiss getting any privacy in the bathroom goodbye for a while!
You will realize soon not to even shut the door while you are in there:)
Lauren has a BEAUTIFUL smile!!! Her whole face lights up!!!
I remember those days so well! Is Lauren "helping" you by handing you squares of toilet paper? Mine did that until I put a gate up across the doorway! :)

Is this really the same child we saw a few weeks ago - she has blossomed! God bless her, always.
About the privacy thing - yeah, you got it right. I don't think you'll ever, ever have a moment of peace from now on (and isn't it wonderful?)
Welcome to Motherhood and the shared bathroom ;) Lauren looks so happy and seems to be settling in so well. I am so happy for you all!

I am just so happy that everything is just perfect just like Little Miss is. I love the stroller and oh yes motherhood does mean never getting to do anything alone ever again!!!!
Love, Kristy
Great work with the bedtime routine!!!
Yep... no more quiet toilet breaks!!!
Hey! Do you have Pumpkin Patch there?!!! I always send pumpkin patch as gifts to the US, coz I didn't think you had it there!!! Aaahhh... Lauren, a "shopper" girl after my own heart!!!
You will never pee by yourself again OR eat an uninterrupted meal.
How sweet it is that your co-workers are counting down the days till you are back :) You are obviously loved at work!
Donna, it is so wonderful to see Lauren adjusting so well! I'm so happy for your family! It's nice to missed at work too... but I'm sure you will have a rough first day back! LOL!
