In a funk...

I'm not sure why, but I've been feeling kinda blah and in a little funk. I had a nice weekend and I even took a vacation day from work yesterday, so you would think all would be well, wouldn't you? But no, for some reason I'm just blah...you know that kind of low feeling when it just seems like too much to even smile?

I just can't pin it down. Maybe it's the passing of another Mother's Day without having a child, thinking about the failed attempts, and knowing that I can't be certain that Lauren will be here by this time next year. Maybe it's my constant struggle with my weight and not having any luck with weight loss lately. Maybe it's the never ending stress at the office. Maybe it's the fact that I'm due for another scan soon to check up on my kidney mass and the worry about it changing. Hmmm....I guess it's just all these things rolled into one and I'm throwing myself a private pity party. Anyone care to join the party?

I thought I was the one throwing the party. I will join in and bring the ice cream. As if the funk is not bad enough, I have been sick in bed all day. Hope you feel better soon. If not, shopping always helps me. :)

Aw, sorry you're in a funk. I was in a doozy of a funk this winter. Seriously. Impending summer seems to have helped me immensely. That and me living in my Happy Land of Denial. (What wait?) It's been working wonders. Don't you fret. Everybody needs a pity party every once in a while. Hang in there. Things will look up eventually.

Hang in there. Summer is just around the corner (well, I guess that is not that important if you live in a warm climate all year long...). Better days will come!

It's all bound to take a toll on you sooner or later, Donna. You're not alone. We all get funky now and then.

I hope everything goes well with your scan.

Hugs,
Kim

Hi Donna,
Sending hugs your way and hoping the funk passes soon. Those days happen and I think it's times like Mothers Day that trigger off those low feelings. Hope your scan goes well.

Hi Donna
I think it is going around. I'm feeling like you. Hang in there and keep your postive attitude like you always have.

I'm praying for your kidney mass to not have changed.

Hugs to you,
Kim M.

Hey Donna,
I share in your funk, must be in the air. Karen's bringing ice cream, I'm bringing the beer; not quite to the Jack Daniel's state yet. Maybe with swim season just around the corner we could do some water arobics to help the weight loss slump. You are a very special person, hang in there and remember I am always a phone call away.
Healing Hugs being sent your way,
Linda Marie

I'm sorry that you're feeling down, Donna.

There's a new Yahoo group for waiting parents who are looking to lose weight and get in shape. I joined it last week. It's called something like Red Thread Healthy - or something along those lines. Julie at To Tess & Back has a recent post about it. Anyway, think about joining it and we'll all be there to share ideas and offer support!

Not sure what to say - but I'm sending good thoughts your way.

You're entitled to be in a funk.

I hope we start to see referrals come in covering full months.

Take care.
Tammy

Hang in there, this wait is so tough and know that you are not alone. I have been feeling very similar.

Good luck with your scan, I will be thinking about how and praying for your health.
